Play Me!

This is an attractive sight to any child.

Let me take you in a little closer. Whenever we go out, especially to a store that has beautiful, delicate, and items that can be easily broken displayed on their shelves, I’m always on the look out for busy hands. Very quick hands. Hands that my children use like eyes so they can SEE things. I know that touch allows one to learn many things, but everyone doesn’t understand that; especially shop owners.

There were no shop owners around. What we had here instead was an invitation for them to not only touch something that is cool and doesn’t belong to them, but they were also being invited to PLAY it. How neat is that?

Play you say? Yes, touch, open and close the piano key cover three, four or maybe even five times – open close, open, close. They could play with one finger, kick the bench aside, and even dance a little.

Grab some candy while you play and run your fingers across the keys.

Play your favorite song or at least attempt to.

Hang out all day and just play, which is what we would have done if we didn’t have errands to run.

We headed across town to handle some official business. The sun and warm temperatures have been unexpected, but much appreciated. Since the sun was shining, we decided to leave the car parked and continue on foot.

Whenever I’m with this bunch, it’s so easy to get side tracked.

I’m always in a hurry.

Just like kids, all they want to do is have fun. Sometimes, acting like a kid is fun.

We just couldn’t resist one more invitation to play.
