We are using this the dvd version. I need to order the next set of lessons. My middle son is really enjoying it, unfortunately I am not using it as often as I would like.

I have heard a lot of people rave about this product. I went to the website and it looks great but I am a little afriad. I feel like we spend so much money on things that “should” be so simple but are not. Only to buy a product that has been hyped up and you find that you are less than impressed. (sigh) But the current price is not bad to try out the cards.

This looks quite good Jennifer and well priced considering it a year long package. I am just wondering how easily accessable the recommended music is. Where do you get the music from? Do you need to buy extra CD’s etc. or do they recommend free sites?

PS – Not sure if your children have seen Mike Venezia’s composer books but my girls absolutely adore them as they do the artists ones.

The music selections are available online on FREE sites (ex: YouTube) and I am sure you could find some others depending upon what type of access you have (ex:iTunes, etc.). Of course buying CD’s is another option, but it is nice when you can find FREE resources.

Yes, I am familiar w/Mike Venezia’s books. We will be using his book series of artists for our art studies. His composer books are quite awesome too.

That is sooooo cool!! How do you find out about these things? I wouldn’t have the foggiest idea about who to ask in my area about free for homeschoolers days, if there even are any.

I started w/a list of places we wanted to go to and then checked to see what educational offerings they had. Some places will not have special days/discounts for homeschoolers only, but many places have days or specials for school students and your girls could still participate as your own school group.

Another thing to consider is joining some local homeschool groups now even though you have a few years before you officially start. They would probably have field trips set up and you could participate w/them and also get to take advantage of reduced fees because of the amount of people attending in a group.
