Trident Case {TOS review}

Trident Case Review

When it comes to electronics, I never considered protection for them until I started using an iPad. I’m not sure if it is the price of the electronic that makes a difference, but once I started using an iPad, protection became an issue.

The Trident Case company has provided protective covers for mobile devices since 2010. Some of the covers they currently offer are for iPhones, iPads (Minis and Airs), Kindle Fires and Samsung Galaxy Notes. The products are appropriate for any age of person as are most of the above mentioned electronics.

I had the opportunity to review the Kraken A.M.S. Case for Apple iPad 2/3/4 for devices: iPad 2, iPad 3 or iPad 4. I also was able to choose the color of the case I received. The cases come in so many really cool (yes, cool) colors and I chose purple. There is also an option to build your own case.

The case arrived in a sealed, see-through package and my children oozed-and-awed. I did too.

The previous iPad case I used is a bi-fold with room for a keyboard. I never really used the keyboard, but the case keeps everything intact, because the folding options keeps the glass covered and protected. I like the feature, but carrying the iPad in that manner, especially since I don’t use the keyboard, makes a bulky experience.

River was very excited that I had a new case for my iPad, so I gave him the honors of putting everything together. The case comes in three pieces — a clear protective silicone cover and a front and back “hardened, polycarbonate shell” — that easily wrap and connect around the iPad. It was totally simple to put together and everything fit right into place. Even the little tabs for the port areas like the speaker, the on-off button, the charger and the menu option button fit easily through the openings on the case.

Once everything was put together, my iPad had a new, sleek and stylish look. It was also easier to handle.

The feature of the case that I most love is that the iPad now has a protective cover on the actual screen. I’m just as cautious with the iPad when using it, but I don’t really need to be, because the case is sturdy on the back and the front. The fact that the cases meet military standards for drops and vibrations should give you an idea of the quality of the Trident Cases.

The only feature that I miss is the ability for the iPad to stand independently. Fortunately, there is a tablet stand and holder that is available for purchase.

I really like the Kraken A.M.S. Case for Apple iPad 2/3/4 for devices: iPad 2, iPad 3 or iPad 4. I don’t worry about it getting damaged.

    Cases are so important. My boys dropped my uninsured IPad and broke it. I was not a happy camper to say the least. After it was repaired I purchased a case. A must have when you want to protect your pricey investment.

    Tiffany,
    One of the reasons I like the case so much is because of the protective covering it provides on the top and bottom of the iPad. With the fact that iPads become practically useless once the screen is destroyed, I figured that I better consider protection more carefully. I miss the stand accessory that comes with my other case, but the Trident is so pretty, I haven’t bothered to change it out and just prop the case on something for better viewing.
