Ack! Why is everyone posting about the delicious things they are making and eating? I’m craving cinnamon rolls, apple pie, cupcakes, and now pumpkin pie! I’ve never made pumpkin pie before, but have made pumpkin cheesecake (which was goooood). Never have had sweet potato pie before. Happy New Year!

Ugh I am lacking motivation in this area. Seriously and the numbers on my scale are a lot higher than yours. I just have no motivation at all. I am in a slump. Good for you hitting the pavement.

I made my very first Pumpkin Pie last year. It is not something you come across in Australia or New Zealand. We tend to eat pumpkin as a vegetable with our roasts, and pumpkin soup is very popular. Anyway, a friend highly recommended a microwave, yes microwave, pumpkin pie recipe and so my Miss 9 decided we simply had to make it. I was so apprehensive but WOW Jennifer, I am so glad I did, it was so, so yummy (and easy). Even Miss 7 and hubby who aren’t pumpkin fans loved it.

Hmm, microwave…that sounds very interesting. You may need to pass that recipe on so I can try it.

Also, when you do eat pumpkin as a vegetable, do you carve/cut the pumpkin or buy it already cut? I wanted to make pumpkin pie out of our pumpkins that we got at the pumpkin patch, but wasn’t sure if the flavor would be good.

I am a sweet potato pie person although I will take pumpkin any day. I just made your lemon ice box pie a couple of weekends ago when Misty was in town. Love that recipe! Thanks for sharing.

Can I have your weight please? I ate mac & cheese, curry chick peas, rice & peas, fried plantain, zucchini & yellow squash, candied yams, apple pie, pumpkin pie, ice cream, and vegan cake. It was a lot, but it was SO SO GOOD.
