Remote Control 101

I went to school today and got a lesson using our remote controls. In the past, I’ve known enough to get me through where I am able to at least turn on the television and make the right channel selection, but all of the other many buttons are just many buttons on the remote. River showed me how to go from DVD play and return to television view with only two button pressings instead of seven. I think that was worth a day in school.

I hope River paid very close attention to how concentrated, quiet, and respectful I was during his lesson. Maybe he’ll learn to do the same all the time when I’m teaching him.

Are there any skills your children have that are better than yours?
