What a Boy Wants?

Believe it or not River really did want this. He’s been asking beggin and pleadin’ for Darling D to give him a Mohawk cut for a couple of years while.

Well, he finally got it and see, he really is happy about it.

As for me, on the other hand…well, I’m happy for him (I think that’s what I’m supposed to say), but it will probably be gone this weekend…even though ah, I’m really happy for him.

Has your son or daughter pleaded for that “awesome” haircut or hair color? Did you give in or are they still giving you gentle reminders?

  • this honestly is a very popular hair cut locally too. Hubby and I were just talking about that over the weekend. I think he wears it well.Let him keep it for now.

    Could be worse

My daughter is still too young, but last summer when my niece and nephews came to visit their dad (my brother), my nephews both had Mohawks. My brother had received no notification of this when it happened and, needless to say, was a bit…shocked to see his sons. He looks so cute tho!

cool! when he was little, our oldest rocked the hawk for the whole summer and he loved it. later on, he went through the shaggy hair phase. but now that it’s hot, he opted to keep it short. we don’t mind what he does with it since it’s just hair and any changes are not permanent. as long as it doesn’t become a distraction in school it’s all good :) .

Those pop up everywhere here in the summer, since the school doesn’t allow them.

My oldest is too young to really care about her hair. Makeup on the other hand….makeup she is petitioning for (ok, so I gave her some clear lip gloss to make it temporarily stop lol). What almost-6 year old wants makeup on a daily basis?!

Mine has been begging for the same thing for quite some time. He just does not have a good type of hair for it though. Your little one looks great though. As long as he is happy.

It is a very nice summer time haircut. A few years ago I had three second grader that got mohawks for the class picture. I couldn’t believe it.

I’m a mowhawk fan. My son had one when he was really little and has now opted for long hair. We always leave it totally up to him! Your son looks adorable!

    That is just too cool!

We have told our oldest that he can have his hair however he wants it as long as it is clean and neat. However, the shaggy-haired look that is all of the rage in his middle school means that Daddy is often far unhappier than I am when C grows it out. I don’t mind waiting while his hair grows out past that awkward stage between looking like he needs a haircut and looking like he TRIED to have it shaggy…but hubby hates it.

He looks cute! And happy! I have three boys – two of them teens, and we have been around the haircut discussion time after time. The bottom line is, if I’m paying then I get a ‘say’ in how the cut turns out. Another bottom line – I need to be able to see their eyes. (hahaha) But IT IS ONLY HAIR, and not really a true reflection of who they will turn out to be, so we don’t stress too much about hair being too long. As soon as my 17 year old started paying for his own haircut — He got it cut short!!! After years of being too long, in my opinion! How funny is that?

    Enjoy the mohawk!

    Cute

He looks cute! My son had a frohawk not on purpose just how his baby hair was growing in when he was 2 or 3 years old. He’s more of a fade man himself.
