Catching Up with the Time

I am really hating this Daylight Savings Time thingy going on. It is almost three days since the time change and my physical and mental body is still behind. It is seven o’clock when I think it’s six and it’s eight o’clock when I think it’s seven. I have been going to bed at 3am thinking it is 2am and waking up at nine in the morning thinking it is eight. My day is practically over before I know it.

I guess my age must be getting to me because I don’t remember feeling this way in the past. I’m already looking forward to “falling back” in the fall when there is a chance of regaining my lost hour.

The only really good thing that came out of it all was on Sunday, Canyon took a nap during the day. He hasn’t taken a nap during the day in almost 1½ years and he is only three. He stopped taking naps really early in life, but is smart enough to try to catch up on the one hour he lost this weekend.

How are you doing with the time change? Has your body adjusted to the change? Were you late anywhere on Sunday?

Sweet Shot Day

Even though I like that there’s more light in the day I am feeling it this year more than I have in the past too…then again, I was tired before the time change. :)

LOVE the pic by the way!

Love the picture, and completely agree with wanting that “extra” hour back!!

I’m suffering right there with you. I almost had my boys in bed by midnight now were back to 1am again!!! SIGH

See, I actually like the time change. Instead of my kids getting up at their normal time, 5:30am that now becomes 6:30am. And even though technically it is the same for my body, mentally it just feels different and more manageable. :)

  • Look at him sleeping so peacefully! Cute!!

I’m still having trouble adjusting to the time change, too – I hate losing that hour when there already aren’t enough hours in the day! :) I suspect I’ll finally adjust when it’s time to gain the hour back… ;)

Not doing too well at all! This morning, I got the older kids off to school and went back to sleep. I just got out of bed at 10:30!

And I work the 11pm to 7am shift ! WIth the past two nights off, my body was sooooo disoriented from the time change!

Its been hard with the little guy. He’s 3mths old and doesn’t give a rats patooty what time it is. After saying I wouldn’t put him on a schedule we actually did find a routine. Now its gone to heck in a handbasket with the time change. Shoot me so I can get a chance to take a nap!

I’m still trying to adjust and so are the kids. Last year it took me the whole month of April to get it together. I love this picture too!

    What a precious picture!

The time change didn’t really affect me since my schedule was already wonky from visiting with my family this weekend. Time with my 3 sisters always calls for late nights!

I’m actually loving the time change. I wish it would just stay and not switch back and forth. I prefer more light in the evenings, so I’ve loved it.

Your “sweet shot” is sweet, indeed. I have a thing for sleeping baby boys. :)
