In Search of Summer

I can see the sun and I know it’s there somewhere beyond the leaves on this tree carrying with it the warmth I’m missing. I have been on this mission ever since the first frost, which I experienced about one month ago. You see, I’m a California girl and I live and thrive in warm weather. Yes, it gets cold there every once in a while, but nothing like what I’m experiencing right now and what I have to look forward to through the next few months as I live on the colder side of the map. Why must it be this cold?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I’m secretly wishing for snow.

What a beautiful photo. I actually love the cold and the fall. So, I don’t miss the heat at all.

Beautiful picture. I’m in California so I know how you feel…..well, to the extent that I couldn’t imagine living where it gets “real” cold weather.

I miss the sun, too!! It’s DARK here at 6pm

But I do enjoy the fall colors and I’m secretly wishing for snow, too… if it’s going to be cold, it might as well snow:)
