Okay. Before you start laughing at the strange goings on in my house, ask your children what they think about some of your house rules. Here is the deal. We don’t wear our shoes in the house. If you think about all of the places your shoes have been today, then you might understand. Well, my children know this rule and rather than take their shoes off to go retrieve something in the house, they crawl through the house, grab what they want, crawl back out and in their logic still have their shoes on and don’t have to go through the trouble of tying them all over again.
Let me ask you, what type of strange rules do you have in your house?

Now that is some seriously good line of thinking on behalf of your kiddos! Our number 1 rule is no jumping on the beds. Incidentally, that is our children’s favorite past time. Sigh.
lol to to funny! I only allow eating in the Kitchen or Dining room table. That isn’t strange but that is my one and only major rules besides hubby doing dishes after I cook

That is a good rule. My husband and I were just talking about starting the same thing. It does gross me out when I think about where my shoes have been. That pic is cute! My husband would prob do the same thing.

That is a funny picture. I do not think your rule is strange at all. We do not wear shoes in the house either. Just keeps everything so much cleaner if you take your shoes off at the door.

That’s too funny. We used to do this at a friends house. His family had white carpeting and his mom never let us walk on it with shoes. Now that you have mentioned it about where are shoes have been this is a really good idea. We track in so much dirt an dust on the hardwood floors this would make a difference. As to our rules, we don’t allow eating anywhere, but at the kitchen table. Unless I put a blanket down on the floor. There is no jumping on the beds although they end up jumping on ours more than their own.
