I am really hating this Daylight Savings Time thingy going on. It is almost three days since the time change and my physical and mental body is still behind. It is seven o’clock when I think it’s six and it’s eight o’clock when I think it’s seven. I have been going to bed at 3am thinking it is 2am and waking up at nine in the morning thinking it is eight. My day is practically over before I know it.
I guess my age must be getting to me because I don’t remember feeling this way in the past. I’m already looking forward to “falling back” in the fall when there is a chance of regaining my lost hour.
The only really good thing that came out of it all was on Sunday, Canyon took a nap during the day. He hasn’t taken a nap during the day in almost 1½ years and he is only three. He stopped taking naps really early in life, but is smart enough to try to catch up on the one hour he lost this weekend.
How are you doing with the time change? Has your body adjusted to the change? Were you late anywhere on Sunday?

Lily finally got her first library card. Well, it isn’t really her first card, but it is the first one where she filled out her own application. Now, she can go crazy reading to her heart’s desire.
What is your favorite book?

I mean really, who uses these anymore? How many of you even know what these are? I know what they are and haven’t used them in years, but don’t want to toss them because they may have “important” information on them. I don’t really ever see myself sitting down and looking through the information on these or the many others I have that wouldn’t fit into this picture.
Are you holding onto something because you may use it later or it has “important” value? Let it go!

Moments before this picture was taken, this loaf of bread had risen tall and was eager and ready for the oven. I came back a little later and it was flat. This was a kitchen disaster, at least for me. I kneaded it once again, popped it back into the pan, and waited another few hours for it to rise again. This was new for me because this is how my bread usually turns out. Everything turned out fine the second time around.
Have you ever had a big or small cooking disaster?
